Police opened fire on protestors who were demonstrating in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, over Covid-19 restrictions.

The country witnessed a rise in Covid infections, and a new partial lockdown was imposed a week back.

The police stated, “51 people were arrested during the major disturbances on Friday evening and night at Coolsingel in Rotterdam. About half of them were minors.” (translated)

Three rioters were injured by bullets and have been hospitalized.

Demonstrations against virus restrictions also took place in Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, and Italy.
