The Facts

On Monday, Sinclair Broadcast Group said it suffered a data breach and is working to determine what data was compromised.

The company stated it started investigations into the security incident on Saturday and identified specific servers encrypted with ransomware on Sunday.

The Hunt Valley, MD company owns and operates 21 regional sports networks and provides services to 185 television stations in 86 markets.
